FAQs
ApeFest 101
ApeFest is on Monday 6/20, Tuesday 6/21, Wednesday 6/22, and Thursday 6/23 from 5-10pm.
ApeFest is at Pier 17, an indoor/outdoor waterfront venue located at 89 South Street in NYC.
ApeFest is open to BAYC and MAYC holders who have a ticket on their tokenproof app (and one guest each, if that ticket includes a +1). All must be 18+ and show a driver's license, state ID, or passport.
Everything except merch is free to apes and their +1s — tickets, food inside and outside (at partner food trucks), drinks, and beyond. There will be no mint or reason to purchase anything beforehand.
Please see our COVID guidelines here.
ApeFest is our only official event, but we’ll be highlighting some of the best of what the community is doing that week on our Twitter @boredapeyc.
There’s a token-gated ApeFest channel in the BAYC discord
Requesting Tickets
Ticket requests open on 6/8 at 9am ET and close on 6/9 at 9pm ET. They’ll work on a first-come, first-serve basis.
We teamed up with tokenproof to securely verify ownership and distribute tickets. To request tickets:
- Download the tokenproof app safely from the App Store or Google Play
- Enroll in tokenproof at www.tokenproof.xyz/enrollment using the wallet holding your BAYC/MAYC. This will require signing a message to allow tokenproof to verify that the wallet holds a BAYC or MAYC token and agree to the terms and conditions — there are no transaction or gas fees, and you are not giving tokenproof permission to make any transactions on your behalf.
For a step-by-step on enrolling, follow these walkthrough videos:
Enrolling on Desktop: https://tinyurl.com/tokenproofdesktopregistration
Enrolling on Mobile: https://tinyurl.com/tokenproofmobileregistration - When the ticket window opens, you will be able to click “Request tickets” on the homepage to connect your wallet and follow the steps to request tickets. Please note that moving your BAYC/MAYC out of your enrolled wallet will invalidate it for ticketing.
- Make sure you have the most recent version of the tokenproof app and allow push notifications so you get real-time updates about ticket availability.
- The tokenproof app will send push notifications with ticketing updates, and any tickets you’ve been issued will appear in the app. You’ll also be able to exchange or cancel your tickets from the app.
tokenproof will send push notifications once the ticket requests have been processed, either shortly after the ticket request window closes or once all available tickets for each date have been requested, whichever comes first. As long as you have the most recent version of the tokenproof app and have push notifications enabled, you will get a push notification that you either received a ticket or were added to a waitlist (or waitlists).
tokenproof is a token-gating solution that allows you to safely prove ownership of your tokens. tokenproof issues a verifiable credential for proof of account ownership by binding the account to your tokenproof app on your mobile device while the actual wallet remains disconnected. Once you’re enrolled, tokenprooof can authenticate your ownership of your assets without connecting to your wallet in the future. For ApeFest, It will display an animated QR code that verifiers can scan.
tokenproof is available to download on the App Store and Google Play worldwide, except in China.
You can enroll before or after requesting tickets, however, you must be enrolled in order to receive notifications about tickets, so we recommend enrolling as soon as possible.
For a step-by-step on enrolling, follow these walkthrough videos:

No – we will not request your +1s information, even at the door. Your guest’s entry will be part of your ticket on your tokenproof account.
Your +1 will not get their own ticket — you must enter with your +1. Each ApeFest ticket (including a ticket with a +1) can only be scanned one time when entering the venue, and there is no re-entry after exiting the venue. Guests will not be able to get in on their own if the original ticket-holder is already inside.
You can bring anyone with you and you can bring a different guest each day if you have a ticket to multiple ApeFest dates, as long as they’re 18+ and show a driver's license, state ID, or passport.
The lineup will be a surprise, so we recommend ranking your dates based on your availability. Keep in mind that tickets are non-transferable, so you won’t be able to give a friend your ticket if you choose a date that you’re not available.
Due to anticipated demand, we can’t guarantee everyone will get a ticket. Our goal is to make sure all holders and their +1s can attend at least one of the four nights (ideally their top choice).
No, tickets are per holder, not per BAYC or MAYC.
Download the tokenproof app safely from the App Store or Google Play
No, your BAYC/MAYC must be in your enrolled wallet to enter.
You can still request a ticket if you just purchased a BAYC or MAYC. If the previous holder already requested a ticket with the same BAYC or MAYC token, they will lose access to the event once the NFT has been transferred into a new wallet.
No, this does not change your odds.
No you do not, as long as the NFT is in your wallet at the time of entrance when your tokenproof app is scanned.
Ticket Confirmation
tokenproof will send push notifications once the ticket requests have been processed, either shortly after the ticket request window closes or once all available tickets for each date have been requested, whichever comes first. As long as you have push notifications enabled, you will get notified that you either received a ticket or were added to the waitlist for each date you requested. Please note that moving your BAYC/MAYC out of your enrolled wallet will invalidate it for ticketing.
No, tickets were not designed to be transferable, so there is no safe way to transfer a ticket.
If you want to give up your original ticket to change your date, you can do so on the tokenproof app. (You won’t lose your original ticket – you will only release it once the ticket for your new date is confirmed.) Otherwise, you are automatically on the waitlist for any date you requested that you didn’t get a ticket for, so you can also choose to keep your original ticket and wait to see if you get your preferred date as well from the waitlist.
Please make sure you have notifications turned on. You are automatically added to the waitlist for each day you requested and did not get a ticket for. The waitlist will remain open past 5pm ET each day for that day’s event so that +1 no-show spots can go to waitlisted apes. You will get a push notification from tokenproof if a ticket you were waitlisted for is sent to you. If you can no longer attend, please cancel the ticket once it’s sent to you.
You can exchange your ticket for a different date or cancel your ticket entirely to give a fellow ape on the waitlist a chance to go. To exchange or cancel your ticket, open the tokenproof app, select the ticket, double-check that you’ve selected the correct date if you have tickets for multiple dates, and follow the tokenproof steps.
You can release your +1 spot into the waitlist pool via the tokenproof app.
No, there is no secondary market for ApeFest tickets, and selling +1 spots is not permitted. Tickets were not designed to be transferable, so there is no safe way to transfer a ticket.
Your used ticket will remain on the tokenproof app for 7 days after the event date.
Selling +1 spots is not permitted and tickets were not designed to be transferable, so there is no safe way to buy/sell/transfer a ticket. We’re unable to check for you whether a +1 offer is legit, so we recommend only joining as an ape’s guest if you know and trust them. If someone is offering you a ticket, keep the following in mind:
- There is no way to separate a guest ticket from the ape holder’s wallet. An ape’s +1 spot is bundled with their own ticket on their tokenproof app on their phone.
- All ApeFest tickets, including +1s, are tied to the holder’s enrolled wallet, tokenproof app, and mobile device, and all three are required to enter ApeFest. There is no way to sell/give away a ticket as a screenshot, attachment, or printable ticket.
- Each ApeFest ticket (including a ticket with a +1) can only be scanned one time when entering the venue, and there is no re-entry after exiting the venue. Guests can only enter Pier 17 at the same time as the ticket-holder and will not be able to get in on their own if the original ticket-holder is already inside.
- Guest names are never submitted or recorded, so we will not be able to verify whether you are someone’s +1.
- There is no official secondary market for tickets. Never connect your wallet to a site you don’t know and trust.
Waitlist & Exchanges
You will be automatically added to the waitlist for any dates that you requested and didn’t get a ticket to (you will receive a push notification from tokenproof letting you know). There is no way to join a waitlist for a date you didn’t select during your original ticket request.
You will get updates through push notifications from the tokenproof app. Please make sure you have notifications enabled. You will only get notified if you get a ticket for a waitlisted date.
No, you do not need to do anything to “claim” your ticket — it becomes automatically available in your tokenproof app.
Both ticket distribution and the waitlist work on a first-come, first-serve basis based on when you made your ticket request and in what order you ranked your requested dates. For any dates where requests outnumber available tickets, anyone not given a ticket is automatically added to the waitlist. As ticket-holders exchange or cancel tickets, those tickets will become available and you will be moved off the waitlist depending on when you made your request. The waitlist will remain open past 5pm ET each day for that day’s event so that +1 no-show spots can go to waitlisted apes.
You are automatically on the waitlist for any dates you requested but did not get tickets to. Please note that you will not see your waitlist status within the tokenproof app — you will only see the tickets you hold, if any.
You will get one push notification from tokenproof confirming that you are on the waitlist. If you’re moved off the waitlist and given a ticket later, you will get another push notification letting you know (the ticket will appear in your tokenproof app). If you are moved off the waitlist and given a ticket for more than one day, you will receive separate push notifications alerting you of your tickets.
There is no way to remove yourself from the waitlist. If you are moved off the waitlist and receive a ticket for a date you can no longer attend, you can request to exchange the ticket within the tokenproof app by 6/17 or cancel the ticket altogether.
If you have a ticket but want to change your date, you can do so on the tokenproof app. You won’t lose your original ticket – you will only release it once the ticket for your new date is confirmed.
The option to request exchanges will remain open until Friday, June 17 at 11:59pm ET.
Yes, you can request another exchange once the previous exchange is completed.
Entry
Your ticket will be in your tokenproof app. Note: If you do not have an ApeFest ticket within the Tickets tab of your tokenproof app, you do not have a ticket to the event.
You need a driver's license, state ID, or passport, plus your mobile device with tokenproof app installed and ticket confirmed. Your BAYC/MAYC must be in your enrolled wallet, but you will not need to connect your wallet anywhere to enter.
Your BAYC/MAYC must be in your enrolled wallet, but you will not need to connect your wallet anywhere to enter. Moving your BAYC/MAYC out of your enrolled wallet will invalidate it for entry.
Yes, if your +1 is no longer joining you, you can enter without them. Please keep in mind that means your +1 will not be able to enter later.
No. You can only bring a +1 if you have a ticket for two guests.
No, we will not have any extra tickets at the door.
+1s
You can bring anyone as your +1 as long as they are 18+. Both you and your +1 will need to show a driver's license, state ID, or passport at the door, and you must enter with your +1.
No, we do not need your +1’s name or any other information (other than checking their driver's license, state ID, or passport at entry). Their ticket will only be available through your tokenproof app on your phone.
Yes, if you have tickets to multiple ApeFest dates, you can bring a different guest to each date. Please keep in mind that there is no re-entry into the venue after you exit and that your +1 spot will only be available with your tokenproof app on your phone, so your +1 must arrive with you.

Merch
ApeFest attendees can buy merch two ways: at the merch shop inside Pier 17 during ApeFest, and online after attending. The online merch shop will go live shortly after ApeFest begins and stay up through July 1st at 7pm ET.
The online shop will only be accessible to apes on their ticket date(s) once they’ve attended, as verified by tokenproof — you will be able to access it only once your tokenproof ticket has been scanned at the door. It will also be available to apes who canceled a ticket to give more dates to those on the waitlist. Unlike the shop at Pier 17, you’ll need to connect your wallet to access and check out of the online merch store, so +1s cannot shop online. Please also note there is only one checkout per ape for the online shop — you will not be able to place more than one order.
Merch at Pier 17 will be priced in USD and available for purchase with major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Amex, Discover, and Diners Club) and Shop Pay, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Facebook Pay. The online shop will accept both USD and ApeCoin.
The merch store will have ApeFest-2022-exclusive apparel, accessories, and posters. There won’t be anything from previous drops.
Both contain the same items and sizes, with the exception of the Good Ape tee, which will only be available to members who canceled an ApeFest ticket because they could not attend.
Yes, the merch store on site will contain all the same items each day.
If you’d like your items shipped please purchase from the online drop that is currently available, we will not be shipping any items from ApeFest
If you are ordering online, you will be limited to two of each item per order. If you are purchasing at the Pier 17 shop, you will be limited to one of each item per checkout.
The online merch store will remain open for 1 week following the event and will close at 7pm ET on Friday, July 1st.
+1s can buy merch at the Pier 17 shop. The online store will only be open to BAYC/MAYC tokenholders who attended ApeFest.
The Mcbess merch at Pier 17 was a preview of our collab. The items are currently not for sale at Pier 17 or the online merch shop. Stay tuned and check Mcbess’s site and twitter (@mcbess) for updates. They are sharing what they plan to sell and the release will be limited. We’ll also post on the @BoredApeYC twitter when we have updates.
No, there are no returns or exchanges for merch bought online or at the venue.
Most orders will ship out within 4 weeks.
